Service Policy

  User is free to access to fill in for any technical issue support request. Once complete fill in the inquiry format. This format will automatically transfer to technical support team. Any issue will be reply within 24 hours.

II. Service strategy

  1. Customer is able to have a flexible warranty program design base on the ability and customer needs.
  2. Generally the warranty for 18 Months is beginning from the production date. The items warranted include the POS system and its accessories.
  3. DOA (Dead On Arrival) sustained under the following conditions:

The complaint occurs within 90 Days upon received of commodity.
After being investigated by PROTECH SYSTEMS and be confirmed that the cause of responsibility is falls on PROTECH SYSTEMS.
Any DOA issue happens, the round trip delivery cost will be on PROTECH Systems responsibility.
A rework process or replacement of commodity will proceed under the judgment from PROTECH SYSTEMS.
  1. Customer is free to select to have a full system warranty in repair or request a certain percentage of spare parts for own repair.
  2. During warranty, the commodity will be repaired thru regular RMA, process; if it cannot be repaired at any case, a well-conditioned commodity should be replaced preferably with slightly-defect but normally-function item, or a new one otherwise.

The client will be requested to fill up RMA REQUEST FORM for our review and acquire a RMA Number as a formal acceptance of the Request form.

Upon receipt of the RMA commodity, a reconfirmation from the client is required if there is any discrepancy occurred between the state of the commodity and what is being recorded in the RMA Request Form; if the reconfirmation cannot be made within two weeks from the date of receipt of the RMA commodity, the commodity must be returned and any cost caused from this matter will be charged to the client.

During warranty, the commodity will be repaired thru regular RMA process; if it cannot be repaired at any case, a well-conditioned commodity should be replaced preferably with slightly-defect but normally-function item, or a new one otherwise.

The repair should be completed within 7 working Days limited that the repair. quantity is below 30 PCS. The completion time for quantity that above 30 PCS will be discussed and reconfirmed by both of parties.

The responsibility of in warranty RMA delivery falls on PROTECH SYSTEMS and the client; i.e. the client pay for the delivery cost from his office to PROTECH SYSTEMS, while PROTECH SYSTEMS pay for the delivery cost returning the commodity; each party covers his own custom clearance fee.

IV. LCD Panel Bright Dot Specification

    Protech's product offer the LCD Panel with Bright DotˇŘ 3 pixels as the product specification. (Followed the LCD supplier specification)

    The detail descriptions for bright dots/dead pixels on LCD Panel.The evolution from CRT (tube screen) to LCD technology has at least one major problem; dead pixels. Like all industrial products, LCD screens follow several norms.The main one comes from the international organization ISO, who made such norms as the ISO 9002. For LCD screens there is the 13406-2 norm and from it comes several screen characteristics; response time (see 19ˇ¨ comparative test + response time article), viewing angles, contrast ratio, brightness (see the focus on LCD article), etc. Based on the fact that a liquid crystal panel couldn't be perfect, the ISO 13406-2 also introduced rules regarding defective pixels.
